The Volunteers of Ampthill & District Good Neighbours can help if you are in need of the following:

• Collecting Prescriptions      
• Outings
• Longer Journeys 

However there are occasions when we are unable to help in respect of these transport needs. There are other local schemes that be able to assist you, namely:

WRVS Good Neighbours Scheme

Similar in concept to Ampthill & District Good Neighbours Scheme, the WRVS Good Neighbours Scheme Volunteers operate across the county and can provide transport to hospital or the doctors etc.

Mid Beds Link-a-Ride Community Transport Ltd

Mid Beds Link-a-Ride Community Transport provide a pre-bookable door to door transport service for those people who are unable to use ordinary transport because of temporary or permanent disability. The service use vehicles that have been constructed for ease of access, even when a wheelchair is used. Drivers will additionally escort clients to their door.

Flittabus

Flittabus, an alternative bus service covering routes in the Ampthill and Flitwick area. Flittabus, which is supported by Central Beds Council and other local town and parish authorities, has been running for almost 20 years and takes people into central Bedford and Milton Keynes, driving scheduled routes five days a week.
